Mark IV measurements of GSC 00175-02509

See data from DS23 at http://stupendous.rit.edu/tass/data/ds23/gsc_00175-02509.dat

John Greaves:

The data can be found on TASS CD 23 in collected.big as number 58999

It is GSC 0175 2509. SIMBAD reports nothing, can't find any catalogue
match in a swathe of cats.

This star is a short period pulsating variable of 0.1448 day period
(3.62 h). Magnitude ranges are 10.85 - 11.25 V and 10.35 to 10.75 I.

It has a symmetrical and quite clean phased light curve so from that and
the period I'm assuming it is a delta Scutid variable, dSct. Tycho data
_suggests_ a (B-V)J of about 0.5

I've made a GIF but I've nowhere to put it, and I assume the list will
block attachments.

I think there are enough data points on this one to warrant an IBVS as
is.

Who wants to do it, coz I don't!

Anyone check the possible variability type please.

Can send raw data to list as an email if needs be.

John Greaves

I asked Chris Lloyd to independently check the data for this one and he
came up with a couple of slightly shorter possible periods, as well as
noting that an EW solution of roughly twice the period was also
possible.
