I would expect that 1/2 of the objects in the raw star lists should
be garbage. This means, if Michael has entered >7M objects, then
roughly 3M should have no matches to a mag16 object. The initial
reports don't indicate this.
What is the median number of observations per object?
I need to know the number of bright objects not matched to a mag16
seed. If this number is large, then the mag16 seed catalog needs
to be redone.
We need a scatter diagram of the coordinate error vs mag16 magnitude
to see if our 15arcsec error radius is reasonable. Also, since the
instrumental magnitudes have been zero-point-adjusted using Tycho
stars, it would be interesting to see a magnitude scatter diagram
for, say, Landolt stars to see how well that simple assumption works.
