Aaaarrrg!

I just went to the hardware store to buy a tube of magic gunk. They don't
have it anymore. The stuff I was looking for was called Rubber Cement for
repairing boots, etc.. It was black and very much carbon filled rubber.
It was great for damping vibrations from stepping motors. Sigh! The
replacement looks like silicone which has a high Q.

I then walked around the corner to my favorite hobby store in hopes that
they might still have some. The store was gone! A double whammy.

A tube of the black gunk would be a lifetime supply for it's use except
that it has a highly volitile solvent, and soon the tube is a lump of rubber.

This is not a plea for help, just a comment on life. I will figure out a
replacement. It is just that one discovers something like this through
hundreds of hours of hard work. Part of my life has disappeared.

Sigh!
