Lets see...magnitude ratios are 2.5 log (a/b), so 5 mags is about a 100:1
energy ratio. Is signifigant noise at 1% of saturation? or is my arithmetic
incorrect? or are your mag estimates off? But I note that Arne's note suggest
that 4-5 mags for a CCD is par, so maybe this range is OK.
