TASS Mk IV moter control question.

Tom,

I am working on translating commands like "MoveTO RA,DEC"
into a series of STAMP commands.

I see a "move to limit" function. It looks like the STAMP stays
buzy and will accept no new commands untill the limit is reached.
that's OK, but where is the limit? At the East and South or West
and North? If you can specify a direction of movement I don't see
how.

We had talked about placing a switch or IR detector at the
half way point on both the RA and DEC drives. Is this done?
If so how do you use it? Can the "move to limit" function
be told to stop at this central "limit" also?

I am planning on doing most RA movement by setting a rate and
a timmer. This method does not tie up the STAMP so I can
send other commands to do a readout or move in DEC.
I would still like to mix in a few
"move to limit" commands as I don't like runnning open loop
for very long. So I'll do a "move to limit" when I think I
am close to a limit. When the STAMP echos back one of those
commands I will reset the internal drive model to a zero point
for that axies. It looks like maybe more then one command
may be required.
