[TASS] Publishing Lists Of Variables

    The IBVS will (in general) _not_ publish a list of objects just
because some thought that they were variable. Usually the minimum that
is required information required is :

                (1) A good classification (E/B, Mira, Semi-Regular,
etc).

                (2). A light-curve / phase plot

                (3) A reasonable period estimate.


    Several of the E/B's that Mike has identified certainly would
qualify and should be submitted for publication but in general lists of
candidate variables (with out the supporting information mentioned
above) would not be accepted or suitable for publication in the IBVS.

    The PASP paper that Michael is putting together would seem to be the
logical place for such a list of TASS "candidate variables".....
