Jure suggested airmass be part of each star's information.
I'd rather keep the star data confined to just parameters
associated with the image rather than with how that image
relates to the sky.  Airmass can be considered part of
the transformation process to be applied at a later time.
  I'd like to suggest that the FITS table header not be
a strict copy of the image header.  I'd like the central
RA,DEC to be calculated after the astrometric transformation
is applied.  Likewise, you might want to correct the UT
if you find that your PC clock is slightly off, or modify
an object name or other parameter based on knowledge gained
after the image was taken.
