Slowly

Slowly I am getting TOM back up and running. The Tuesday problem was a
stuck shutter. This was fixed by increasing the string tension. Last
night's problem was that the RA drive was broken. One has to watch the RA
drive on turn on. If you don't start the program right away after turning
on power, the RA drive can go backwards past the stop on this version. Now
when the program is started and you ask the RA drive to go home, it is past
the stop and it goes the wrong direction to try to get to the limit and
wrecks the drive nut.

This afternoon I was successful in rebuilding the RA drive nut without
taking the drive off. In theory this would maintain the stop
calibration. In fact, I bumped the drive and moved it. Sigh!

Still, the Tuesday night data is calibrated well enough that I can put up
any image, use FitsHeader to read it, go to the page in Uranometria 2000,
and recognize the star field.

At the moment, I think everything is working.

Well, there is a software problem. While the V camera takes one dark and
four object frames as requested, the I camera is taking two darks and three
object frames.
