Junk Mail
I get about a message a day where someone is trying to distribute junk mail
through the tass list server. They must be pretty desperate to try to send
mail to tass members. ;^)
If any of you receive junk mail that appears to come from the tass list,
let me know. The procedure is to make *ubscribing to tass automatic. I do
look at the address of new subscribers and if it does not look like someone
that wants to be on the tass list, I *nsubscribe them and then send them a
mail message asking for their qualifications to be on the list. So far,
this seems to work. I have caught a few trying to sneak on the list that
just went away when I asked why they wanted to join the list.
For those who need to know:
To subscribe send mail to: Majordomo@listserv.wwa.com
In the body of the message put:
*ubscribe tass to subscribe
un*ubscribe tass to unsubscribe
Note in the above replace * with s to do the thing. This is apparently a
protection you cannot say *ubscribe without the mail server rejecting the
message.
