It looks to me the number part is int((JD - 2450001) * 1000) where JD is the
Julian Day. I don't know what is ra, but probably it doesn't really matter.


Could you tell us to what catalog did you match I magnitudes?  I pressume you
matched V magnitudes to Tycho, bu was it VT or the transformed V, as given in the
TYCHO readme file?

As for deviations in magnitudes I found some spots on V images which didn't go
away with flatfielding.  I pressume my error was in making a master flat image
from images of all three nights because not all of them have these spots.
