Re: Disk 18e weirdness



TN-30 on the tass web site outlines the original naming scheme.  Arne, 
perhaps you might update your TN to give your site a letter.

I abandoned the DOS name restrictions of TN-30 so instead of hira2058.234 I 
am now naming them as:
hvra2058234.fits where the 2058234 it Julian Day xxxx2058.234  I seem to 
recall posting what I was planning to do.

I am passing file names to Rob's program which uses cfitsio to write the 
files.  Arne or someone else might want to take on the job of updating 
TN-30.   This is probably work for a committee that has more experience 
than I do with these things.

One of the reasons for sending out all this data is to get people to think 
about file naming conventions and what it put into the fits header.  I am 
the last person that should be doing this.
