  An incomplete and terse page of information which might help

  However, this is no real solution.  Doug is absolutely right
that I'm not doing a good job of making the pipeline backwards
compatible with earlier versions of Mark IV data.  I doubt
I'll do so in the future, either.  It's just too big a job for
me, I'm afraid :-(
