Tass as a Charitable Organization

I just spent an hour at the lawyers office signing a big pile of 
documents.  If all goes well, by Christmas I will be able to stand on a 
street corner with a little bell and a can to solicit funds for The Amateur 
Sky Survey.

DON'T SEND MONEY!!  I just sighed a bunch of documents saying that I was 
not (yet) soliciting money.

But it is possibly that by Christmas we could accept a gift and send you a 
letter giving you a tax exemption.

I do not plan on asking for money.  This is all so I can get the tax 
benefit from the money I am already spending on tass.   Still, we will have 
that option.

Hmmm!  I just got a big pile of mail.  Possibly something has been ill on 
the mail list for a while.
