RE: Focus indication

Well, there is that. But I am happy to be contributing something, other
than my personal musings of a reduction pipeline using SPS and my own
database...

I think part of the reason for the program I'm writing now is so when Tom's
putting together boxes and solving problems, he can see immediately if there
are issues with the images being taken. Currently, the program is
displaying a 200x200 box of each image in a set, with the colors in the
image dependent on where the pixel lies with a +-6 sigma distribution.
There is also a text box which shows the mean, min, max and sigma of the
displayed region. If anyone is interested in taking a peek, I'll be happy
to send it. It's done enough to be functional, and all it needs is to be
run from a directory with pairs of fits files using the latest naming
convention <XXXXddddddd.fits>. The program displays the two images with the
largest ddddddd and the same XXXX.
