Edge Pixels
Arne and other edge pixel fans;
I am now able to look at the edge pixels on MIKE.
I am reading 2064 pixels. Skip 16, read 2048, skip 16, read 16. If I have
it right, this gets all the covered pixels, all the good pixels, and 16
over scan pixels.
The very first pixel tends to be bright. I guess this is because it is on
the edge and gets light from the side. There seem to be less than 8
covered pixels, and they do not appear to be good for much to me as there
is a gradient across the pixels on both sides of the detector. On the far
side of the detector the last covered pixel is bright. The overscan pixels
look as I expect and are nice and uniform.
I may or may not be one off in the counting. Or two. ;^) I have never
sorted out just when in the sequence the first charge appears on the
output. Purists who care about such things will be given the opportunity
to look at the program and the prom code and to sort it out.
