ARNE's cover
I've just placed on our anon ftp server three pictures
of ARNE's cover:

Basic overview of the cover. Made out of 1/2" PVC and
fittings, dimension 38" wide by 46" long by 35" high.
Covered with 6mil sheet plastic, plus a corregated metal
roof (tried just using plastic at first, but pooling rain
does interesting things...). Hinged at north end using
rigid tubing U brackets.

Showing the cover flipped open. Hardest part is calculating
dimensions so that the cover doesn't hit the mount sides.
Tom needs to bevel these sharp edges.

Inside of cover showing the pipe fittings. Only right
angles are permitted, but there are some neat corner
fittings. As mentioned above, the top is flat and requires
something other than sheet plastic. The corregated metal
is too heavy; I'm looking for mobile home aluminum next.
Not a great job, but better than tarps. Total cost is
about $40.
Thunderstorm and rain tonight. The monsoon is necessary
to keep the forests alive, but sure ruins observing.
