Financing Tass

One of the ways that I cover my expenses building telescopes for tass is by
investing in the stock market.

I have been quiet the last several days since I have been busy following
the market.

I have been buying good solid United States Corporations at bargain
prices. I bought on Monday, I bought yesterday, and I have bought
today. I fully expect that most of my purchases will go down in price over
the next several months. They will not, however, go down in value.

I will admit that prior to Sept. 11, I was "short" the market. I had
accumulated cash since I could not find anything that I thought was worth
the price. I expected the market to go down from inflated valuations and
was betting that it would. I was not short insurance or airline
stocks. ;^) I am short no longer. This country has come together in a
way that I have not seen since Pearl Harbor, if then. We have been
awakened from our usual "sleeping giant" status. Everyone is working
together to repair this country. They will succeed. It is wonderful to
see as much concern over possible loss of our freedom as there is concern
over catching the terrorists. Our leaders are keeping their cool.

It is hard to tell when the general public will figure out that this is a
great and strong country, and that the free businesses here create wealth
for everyone. Even, I fear, for terrorists that would try to bring the
system down.

This country will get back on it's feet. I fully expect to make a lot of
money from my recent purchases.

We may yet need ideas for bigger and better projects to make use of this
gain since I do not need wealth for my personal life.
