Status Report

MIKE is nearing operational status.  The ice crystals have been
substantially reduced and the focus is getting better.  I hope to soon have
some real data to analyze.  I don't know if I'll be up in time for the Oct
13 transit of hd209458 or not.  I'll try and hope the weather cooperates.

I received Tom's Disk Set 19 last week and have copied it onto the hard
drive.  I'll try to squeeze in some analysis while I'm at it.

Everything on MIKE seems to be working fine except one of the focus motors
is weak and won't pull the camera up when it's looking too near the zenith.
Tom believes it may be a loose pin and my investigations seem to lead in
that direction too but I have managed to get a fairly good focus already and
may just let it be for now.
