Tom,

Are the image scales the same for I and V images?  If not
I think that may explain it.  Also, remember image scales with
focus error so you may get diferent results over time.

So, I'd expect the drift rate measured in pixels (x,y) to not be
equal between I and V but it should be the same when measured
in (ra, dec).
