This is an interesting analogy.  I hope it does not imply that very
complex and expensive equipment will be needed for proper flats.  This
would mean a rather unbalanced design, having in mind rather limited
capabilities of the mount and large distortions of the lenses.  Some
people might think it would be better to invest equivalent amount of time
and money into these components instead.
