Boring data

I have finally done a first run on data set 19
using the suite of programs that I ran on Data
Set Tom back in the spring.

[It is astonishing how many fatal bugs a program
acquires just by sitting on a disk for a few
months.]

Using the same analysis parameters as before
turned up zero variables out of the brightest
1,443 stars.

I will admit that the analysis parameters need
some tuning to match the expected lower systematic
errors of the new data. I did look at the top 9
possible variables. At least 3 of them are probably
real variables. But no impressive large amplitude
short period objects to crow about. Boring!

Actually, this really is an improvement over Data
Set Tom where there were lots of objects with
far larger Welsh-Stetson parameters that probably
were perfectly respectable constant stars. The
false positives are greatly reduced with the better
data.
