RE: Pipeline & DS20
Its a standard part of code review/analysis ...
Dig into code
Identify part containing problem
Take it to someone else
Open mouth to explain how code works and describe problem
Exclaim "I see it!"
Walk away and fix it!

It's a sad thing when you make suggestions to yourself. Have you ever
noticed how you figure things out AFTER you hit the send button (and then
look like an idiot).
Anyway, I had the bright idea to actually look at some of the processed
images, and I noticed some interesting artifacts, groups of 5 "dots" in
arcs all across the images (more obvious on the I than V). So I then looked
at the master_dark_* & master_flat_* images. You guessed it, the same arcs
(again, much more pronounced in I vs. V).
What went wrong?
I think it's time to start over.
