Re: adendum Re: hints and tips for DS 20
Yep, I do all this by hand patching QBasic code on the fly. So I make
mistakes. Mostly, I think, it is possible to rescue the data. A terrible
way to operate. If someone out there writes operating code that does all
this properly, I will use it.
Where is Norman Molhant when we need him? (For newcomers, Norman Molhant
wrote the run time operating code for the Mark IIIs.
I guess I will just keep cranking out telescope systems until one of the
monkeys who owns one types an operating system by chance. ;^) Let's see,
one for each star in the sky???
But I am patient. Someone will eventually do it. That is the purpose of
the QBasic code. I know that you all can't stand it and will have to write
something better. ;^)
BTW, the Declination driver code seems still not to be quite right. The
Dec. motor current seems to be on at the wrong time to do what is
needed. But I think the new Stamp code is OK. This is next on my list to
investigate when ROB gets put together and I have a system running in a
warm room to test.
