Data Set 20a

I am working on a data set for Mark Pitts.

This will consist of the following:

1 CD Michael Richmond Pipeline
10 CDs Data Set 20
6 CDs Additional Data from same region of the sky as Data Set 20.

This is a block of data to help Mark get set up to put together a data 
reduction group.  I will send it to Mark with the hope that he will do the 
copy work needed to send it on to others.  Since many of you have DS20, 
only 7 additional disks will be needed.  I can also send out complete or 
partial sets if Mark is too busy or does not have a good CD burn setup.

This data set should contain up to 336 measurements in V and I for many 
stars.  These measurements are spread out over several months.  I will bet 
my hat that it contains some new red variables that can be easily detected.

A number of you have written me asking for direction.  Here is your chance 
to join a directed group.  Mark wants to set up a divided project and share 
the work.  I strongly encourage him.  As is always the case with tass, I 
just try to make things possible.  I don't tell you what to do.  Still, I 
encourage those of you that are interested in a group project to contact 
Mark and to join up with him.  Since this is your project (whoever signs 
up) you get to do it your way.  Whatever that means.  Possibly you will 
want to set up a private group.  If so, I would appreciate being copied on 
the correspondence.  On the other hand, do not fear that any correspondence 
is too technical for the whole group.  Space is cheap, and the delete key 
works just fine to get rid of mail that is too boring.
