  I'm suggesting that you do *not* change the seeded means, ever.
The UCAC positions are accurate to ~20mas, far more accurate than
TASS, and are from higher resolution images so that there is less blending
problem.  You should keep the master catalog and only extend it
when you find some new object that does not match.
