Which public license?

Greetings all,

As part of our SourceForge project registration, we have to select a license that will apply to those who want to use, copy, modify, etc. the open source code we create for TASS. There are a number of selections available (listed below). Can anyone think of any reason why we wouldn't want to just default to the GNU General Public License?

I propose we use a full project name of:
"TASS Data Reduction and Analysis Project"

and a Unix project name (this will be a high-level directory name for our project) of:
"tassdra"

Please comment soon, if there are no objections I will move forward with the project registration.

Mark
