Flushed with success of actually getting a disk mounted, I am now ready to
write code. My system actually was different from any of the examples
given, even the Mandrake example. My system does not support user, only
auto.
As a 25+ year BASIC programmer, what would be a reasonable language for me
to use write code for the kind of things I will want to do for tass? I
suppose none of you will suggest BASIC, so I am ready to go for something
that I can adapt to easily. Fortran and Pascal come to mind. I would like
something that is well debugged and where I can get good documentation. I
gather that there are plenty of free programs. I am willing to spring for
a few good reference books. I really have a tough time looking at
C++. All those curly brackets make my eyes strain, but perhaps I should
just hunker down and learn it. However, I tried it several times before
and did not make much progress. Possibly I can do everything I might want
to do in Pearl or TCL??
