OK, to cheer Tom up, who's brave enough to recount their own "silly 
mistakes with Linux" stories?

I'm not sure if mine is the time I decided to put /etc into its own disc 
partition all by itself, or the two days I once spent trying to get PPP 
going on a disconnected phone line.

All part of the learning process I suppose...  ;-)
