The Mark IV was designed as a search/survey machine.  It does not do well 
studying known objects.  I think that should be left to relatively large 
telescopes (on the amateur scale) with small ccd cameras and a good 
tracking scheme.  These can follow a star for the whole night, compared to 
the Mark IV that is limited to about 3 hours.  We will find lots of objects 
that need later follow up.
