Another Star
Here is a star I found in DS20 Disk 9 and 10
I have plotted the star on the attached plot with I in red and V in
green. This star is labeled s571.
Since you can't read the x axis labels, the plot is 2hr 19m long and
contains 53 measurements.
A nearby star is plotted for comparison with I in blue and V in cyan. This
star is labeled s579.
Star s571 is found at 4h 51m 10.2 s +7d 42m 55.6s. We measure V = 10.39 I
= 9.54 (mean values).
Simbad lists a K0 star BD+07 739 at 4h 51m 10.22s with B = 11.1 and V = 10.3
We found the comparison star at: 4h 51m 18.5s +7d 46m 30.4s with V = 10.27
and I = 9.06
Simbab lists a star GSC 00684-00553 at 4h 51m 18.53s +7d 46m 31.1s with B =
11.4 and V = 10.3
OK, this looks like a variable star to me. I think there are lots more
where this one came from. It is just a question of getting everything
calibrated.
