TASS reference catalog ?
Dear all,
I don't know about this subject in the past. But...
I think something like TASS photometric catalog
is highly needed. Current there's so many data
and when one of us discovery a possible variable
other may found it yet. Existing any?
I can do this work. Simple collecting results files
from all and put it into one file as:
TYCxxxxxx JDxxxxxxxxxx RA...... Decl........ Imag Vmag remarks
etc etc.
Useful can be a cgi (or other) script which searching a records
for choose star, RA etc.
What is your opinion about that?
We can make very valuable observations
of knowing objects (read variables). There's so many poorly studied
variables which observing is recommended or even necessary.
Current I read some tcl scripts for made that but I'm slight stuck.
I have a second (after astronomy) studies now (Bussines School)
and work... So, it may take me some time. I'm beginner of TCL and
still learn as Tom Perl :). The catalogs which can be used are from
Seiichi Yoshida's PIXY2 page compiled by well knowing variable star
astronomer and observer Taichi Kato.
Best regards,
Maciej
