Thanks for the help on milti-cpu systems.  Michael's pipeline keeps it 
above 99% most of the time.  So if I sit at the computer and do other 
things like analyze the data, then I guess a second cpu would help.  I 
think I will wait a while though.  As you all can tell, I am itching to 
treat myself to a new computer.

Meanwhile, I had my first hang after analyzing 7 sets of 56 V,I files.  The 
process just died with no indication in the log file.  It was running into 
the morning with clouds.  So I guess it died when the image reached uniform 
saturation with a divide by zero or some such.  I am re-running with the 
morning files deleted to see if it still fails.

Michael, I assume you want the tail end of the log file (enough so you can 
see what happened) and a summary of what it was doing.  I won't send 
anything until I have distilled it down to the essence.  It seems to be 
working very nicely so I won't ask you to do anything now.
