Star 07 26 04.2 +07 47 12 GSC 0764 2517 0.1734d dSct?

Object 68233 in collected.big on data CD 23.

GSC 0764 2517 appears to be another dSct with a period of 0.1734 days
(4.16 h), although there was some slight variation from this period at
one point. (Data from six nights of observation).

Magnitude range is 9.45 to 9.60 V. Lightcurve is mostly sampled.

This system is the binary A 2944 (CCDM 07261+0747), a mag 9.2 and 10.7
pair separated by around 0.5 arcsecs.

Interestingly the colour seems a bit red for a dSct and a spectrum of G0
is given in some catalogues.

Possibly one of the stars is the delta Scutid and the other is redder?

Alternatively, the variability type maybe different to that suggested
here ... suggestions to alternatives?

(Lightcurve is nicely sinusoidal, not fitting for EW, and PDM gives a
strong theta of 0.2 for this period. Phase plot is not as good as in
previous two cases however, and if assumption of period variation is
false, core period is in doubt).

Nothing other than positional information is given via SIMBAD.

Assumption is made that 0.5 arcsecs is well below the seeing range of
TASS MkIV.

Incidentally, Welch-Stetson statistic is 15.

Cheers
