Re: Suspected Variables in TASS data

Data set 23 was generated by selecting *all* the data I had accumulated
where my notes indicated that at least part of the taken frames were
looking between 6 and 8 hrs. So this is all the data I have. There were a
few frames that did not make it through the pipeline, and there are a few
more that are mislabeled. But DS23 is mostly my complete stash between 6
and 8 hours.

This gives some indication of the coverage we might get for a year of
operation for a 4 degree band of sky with one Mark IV. That is why I set
out to build so many Mark IVs. We need to get them all operating and
taking data, then we need to make an observation plan. The engineering run
was planned to find what the problems would be trying to run. They are not
so bad, I think.

One can take a lot of data in a year. It is not so bad, as TN-83 shows. I
am slowly recognizing what will make it better. One thing needed is a
cloud filter. I am getting ideas of how to do that.
