I couldn't agree more. You shouldn't be in a rush to publish. It's more
important to get it right and there are plenty of people here with
battle experience who are willing to proofread manuscripts. And Arne's
comments about thick skin are true. If you haven't been through the
refereeing process, you might be inclined to take things personally but
you shouldn't! You want people to try to rip your papers to shreds
before submitting them so that you're sure you've got them in the best
shape possible. Once it's published, it's there for good, so you want
to get it right. It's better to be slow and meticulous than rush just
to get something published.
