GSC 0396 1222 is probably an Algol
Hmmm
An earlier post with a small GIF attachment seems not to have got
through.
So just in case, but not to repeat it in case it eventually does get
through:
GSC 0396 1222 caught on one night out of 4 at 1.1 V less than usual,
nearby check star also imaged on those 4 nights at usual mag that same
night. Reddens about +0.4 in V-I.
Probable type EA star.
Ideal candidate for visual confirmation (someone somewhere asked for
some visual work), as eclipse night shows insufficient lightcurve for
full confidence in event, though contemporaneous check star (7' away)
helps to remove external factors for dimming that night. Visual
observing regimes more likely to catch occasional non-predictable
eclipses.
Not found in variability catalogues.
Cheers
