Johnson B-V for this one (as computed from Tycho BT-VT) is 0.7. That's
at best late F and more likely early G for spectral type (the Sun's
about BJ-VJ 0.6 and G2 for example).
That probably makes it an RR Lyr candidate rather than a dSct one "at
best", an EW "at worst", the latter possibly most likely (subjective
"statements" are within context of original posting).
No xray or IR sources associated.
