Stamps commands while transfering to memory card?

Hey Tom,

In my software, I was trying to avoid hitting the stamp 10s timeout by sending a read_limits every 9 seconds.  It appears to work great, until I start a download (pulse channel 4).  I get garbage for responses frequently, and the transfer doesn't appear to complete (not sure about the last part).  If I don't query the stamp until the transfer is complete (read 0x300, wait for & 0x80 ) and accept the stamp timeouts, it appears to work fine.

Does jive with your usage/understanding?
