Lens Problems ? (3)

Tom,
Having looked at the lens design fairly closely last time, my first
reaction is to assume that the problems lie elsewhere - the optical design
looks pretty good, the mechanical design (which I have never actually seen
in the flesh !) perhaps less so.

.Randomly hacking the lenses is unlikely to improve their performance. It
might be worth taking one apart to ensure that it is actually made to spec
after the reversal problems of last time.

I cannot help if I don't have a clearer understanding of the whole of the
problem - what errors you are seeing, how they are measured and so on.

In the words of the prophet - "Don't Panic (yet) !"

regards,
Dave
