What is the (V-I) for your comp star(s)?
An RR Lyr gets bluer at maximum than minimum; the TASS
data do not support that. The (V-I) color is somewhat
outside the normal range of RR Lyrs as well, though the field
could be reddened (I haven't checked that).
Your multiple night photometry also does not support
the Blazhko theory. The Blazhko effect is a modulation
of the light curve, usually 40x or more longer than the
primary period. Doug Welch has a nice movie of this
effect on one of the Macho RR Lyrae stars. Michael K.'s
photometry has little amplitude scatter.
I think the jury is still out as to the classification
of this star.
