As mentioned in the later email, larger (V-I) means redder
color; since minimum is around phase 0.75 in the current
system, this table shows the star getting redder near
minimum.  I'd like to see the equivalent data at maximum.
   Contrary to eclipsing binaries, the normal convention
is to place the maximum at phase 0.0/1.0, primarily because
this feature is the easiest to measure on pulsating
variables.
