Current setup is ROB's in a box at the end of the driveway, controller is in
the garage, connected via 50" of cables (2x25 foot cables with the
connection inside the box). Every component is plugged into the same strip
outlet (with an extension cord going to the box). The cables are running
through one of those vinyl cable protectors usually running over carpets,
and the extension cord is outside the protector but running next to them.

Yes, I've had my eye on those dual AMD systems for quite some time, but had
no real good reason to get one. Now I do!
