Progress
I have had the flu which is slowing me down. Sigh!
I can find nothing wrong with the current data collection scheme. I figure
I have given the ol' college try to find any problems. What remain, if
any, will be.
I have taken flat fields with TOM2 in preparation for data taking. The way
I have mounted TOM2 and TOM3 it is a two man job - or at least someone
other than me - to take flats. This is because one has to climb up into
the dome to put on the flat field box. I took quite a few good looking
images with TOM2 last night. The hope is that I can use them to get the
pointing calibrated.
I am slowly getting three computers set up for production running on an
accumulation of about 12000 images. I figure it will take me a week or two
to process them with three computers running. I plan to process this set
with both tight and loose selection limits. Then I will make some decision
as to where to set them for production. There is always a trade off
between quality and quantity of data.
