ASAS-3 variable star catalog

  I recently realized that the All-Sky Automated Survey (ASAS) project
has released a major catalog of variable stars.  If you go to the
ASAS WWW page:

     http://www.astrouw.edu.pl/~gp/asas/asas.html

and select the ASAS-3 catalog item, you'll be given a choice of
several views of the catalog information.  Perhaps TASS members who
are thinking about databases and how to present information might
check it out...

  The ASAS survey area is south of the celestial equator, so there's
plenty left for us and everyone else.
