In answer to the reprocessing time, below, it does not have to take 
hours.  But it does take a fair amount of time because the program has to 
go through the reference catalog file.  This takes some time, so I usually 
run a disk pair.  160 images.  This does take several hours.  If I am 
interested in one image, I usually want to look at images around it in time.

I would say an hour (of hard work) is spent before a single image is 
checked.  One has to find it, process it, and look at it.

One does not do all steps perfectly the first time.
