You guessed right. It is using /tmp which is in /
Make something called /data/tmp then delete /tmp
and then make a link from /tmp to /data/tmp
mkdir /data/tmp
chmod 777 /data/tmp
rmdir -rf /tmp
cd /
ln -s /data/tmp .
Almost everyone has to do the above sooner or later when
they run out of room in /tmp
