Before I forget and he kills me, Robert Creager creagrs@louisville.stortek.com of tass has done a similar collection.  I have not used his install scheme.

I'm trying to install IRAF, DS9, and GUIAPPS on a linux RedHat system (9.0)

 

I've changed the shell, setenv, set up the files and  gotten to the place where the

install script will run without errors (except for the display part),  and I can launch DS9 from the

desktop, but I can't figure out how to get IRAF to find DS9 and use it during the

./install script, any suggestions?

 

Next, I'm trying to get GUIAPPS to work, any traps I should look out for.
