Coming Up for Air
I need to occasionally come up for air and contact the group. My stack of
"good" boards now stands at about 11.
I just spent about 5 hours tracking down a problem on one board. Sigh!
But soon I will have enough fixed that there will be plenty of spares. I
have had to remember how to program Stamps and PROMs. It always takes a
day or so to find everything and get the old programs running. There seems
to be something about programming stamps that requires the right hex, and I
don't mean numeric format.
All this because I remember that I have two more CDs of data that is not
yet in the data base. It is always encouraging when someone digs out 3
measurements that differ by 0.01 mag. At least some of the measurements
are OK. Michael^2 if I don't send the remaining data soon remind.me.
I finally got the right sized "O" ring material from Small Parts. It seems
that I am the only one who ever complained when they sent me 0.125 material
when I ordered it. It seems that they say right in their catalog that the
nominal 0.125 material is actually 0.137. So I complained that the 0.125
material that they sent me was measured as 0.125. It is their fault that
they labeled it as such. But now I have it and can put together more
cameras.
My goal is to have everything working perfectly by the time the snow melts
off the roof and we have a few days where we can work. March, I hope.
