Everything is Working
Last night's data was good enough to get all the pipelines straightened
out. One problem was using an editor with word wrap on to edit a perl
file. I did not get an error but it did not do the right thing. This
evening early I made darks. For Michael's benefit, by the time I could get
to process them I had collected 30 files for each camera to make the darks.
I will make flats tomorrow morning from this evenings run.
Tonight all 6 cameras are focused and taking data. I can see the tilt
improvement, so that is a good sign. With everything working smoothly I
have a little better focus than usual.
Michael, I could set up the pipeline so that it first picked a reasonable
number of images from the night's running and made a flat from them to use
for that run. What do you think? In the past I have used a good clear
evening to make the flat. Unless talked into something else, that is what
I will continue to do. Of course if something happens to the lenses, (like
a little rain) I will make a new flat.
I declare this the official start of the new observing season. Rahh!
