My guess is that a fix to solve the basic problem with the existing card
is a small change in the layout; to modify the card to supply 16bits
is much larger (decoding, access to D8-15 on the AT connector, etc.).
Once you start that process, you might as well make a PCI card, or
even move the memory to the Stamp board and use ethernet. I'd be
happy with the quick fix, and am willing to test it here.
